With current AI advances and the prospects of AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) and ASI (Artificial SuperIntelligence), a community is growing around the existential threat that these prospects pose to humanity. AI Safety discussions however often focus on the techical capacities of upcoming AIs (their intelligence level).
Inspired by Foucault’s insight that every regime of truth sustains structures of domination, our think tank interrogates the political, epistemic, and ethical frameworks of knowledge shaping AGI development. We view the governance of intelligent systems as a terrain of political struggle; one that will determine whether future technologies entrench inequality and control, or open new spaces for human autonomy and emancipation.
